Poem: Easy to Forget

It would be easy to forget

That you love me

When the dog is barking

And the baby’s crying

When the dishes are piling up

And the bills are too

When the toast is burning

And the phone is ringing

It would be easy to forget

That you love me

At that exact moment

If I can’t remember

Will you?

I think it’s very poopy to be unkind to those closest in our lives. It’s also very common, just not very nice! And, it’s certainly not what we imagined we would be to each other as we entered a close relationship. Let’s try to remember the love, and that love is the purpose of every interaction.
